Topics of Interest

My research interests focus on techniques to design, control, model, and optimize distributed, intelligent, real-time systems, including swarms of robots, sensor and actuator networks, micro- and nano-systems, intelligent transportation systems, and symbiotic animal-robot societies. Special emphasis is set on scalable control techniques relying on self-organization as coordination mechanism.
