Professional ObjectivesAs a secretary my aim is to take care of all the administrative procedures, the daily paperwork and the groups finances, so that the scientists can devote themselves entirely to their research. I also want to help “Newcomers” and guests to make them quickly feel at home in Lausanne. Curriculum1978: Diploma in Commerce (CFC), after a 3-year traineeship at the Paul Scherrer Institute in Villigen, Aargau, Switzerland 1978–1980: Secretary at EPFL, Institute of Materials, Prof. Wilfried Kurz 1981: Enrolment in the “English as a Second Language Program” at the University of Hawaii, Honolulu, USA. 1982-1983: Secretary at “Terre des Hommes”, Lausanne, a Humanitarian Organization helping children all over the world. 1984-1992: After my marriage, I accompanied my husband, first to Cape Town, South Africa (where I worked as a secretary at the Red Cross), then to Basle (I worked as a secretary for Novartis) and then to New Milford, Connecticut, USA (voluntary helper in local organizations). 1993-1998: Secretary at “Manpower”, Lausanne, doing mainly temporary missions in many International Companies. 1999-2003: Secretary at the University of Lausanne, School of Pharmacy, Profs. Bernard Testa and Urs Rüegg Since 2003 I am back at EPFL and very happy to work for the LANOS group. My interestsModern English Literature (I passed the Cambridge Proficiency Examination in 2000 and Cambridge Translation Optional Papers in French and German in 2001 and 2002).
